Ridgefield Police Mourn Two Former Officers
The department is mourning the deaths of two retired members this month.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — Ridgefield Police are mourning the death of two former officers in the past few weeks. The department announced on Facebook Thursday that two of its former officers have passed away. Both officers were retired.
Capt. Robert Brunelle passed away on Oct. 6. He served the department from 1967 to 1991, and was a commander of the detective division. He was also the department's head firearms instructor and served as a member of the Statewide Narcotics Task Force.
He was a Navy veteran.

Officer Thomas Dyer Jr. passed away on Oct. 15. He served the department from 1964 to 1997, and served in the Patrol Division and was the manager of records. He also served as a Danbury police officer.
