Ridgefield Police Re-Accredited with Tier 3 Certification

The Ridgefield PD has been re-accredited three times since 2006.

May 12 - This morning, members of the Ridgefield Police Department accepted the Tier 3 Certificate of Accreditation from the state of Connecticut at the Police Officer Standards and Training Council (POSTC) meeting in Meriden. State accreditation is a process through which law enforcement agencies demonstrate excellence in management and service delivery by complying with the standards set by the state. The Ridgefield Police Department became a Tier 3 accredited agency in 2006 and this is the third time we have been re-accredited.

Sgt. Larry Clarke is the Ridgefield Police Department's Accreditation Manager. Sgt. Clarke worked tirelessly to prepare for the on-site assessment and continues to work diligently to keep our standards updated.
