Ridgefield’s Updated Fourth of July Weekend Forecast
If you're planning to watch fireworks this weekend, we'll let you know what to expect and there is a chance for storms on one night.

The Fourth of July 2016 forecast for Connecticut is essentially as good as it’s going to get with one exception, Friday and Friday night, and some towns plan to hold fireworks that evening.
In between the copious amounts of sunshine today and the upcoming three-day weekend we could be looking at some showers and thunderstorms on Friday and Friday night.

The chance of some rain and storms are about 50 percent throughout Friday and Friday night. It doesn’t appear to be a significant amount of rain and many areas of the state may see nothing but the National Weather Service cautions that communities that do receive thunderstorms can expect heavy rain and gusty winds for periods of time.
Outside of Friday’s forecast, the weather looks glorious this holiday weekend.

Here is a detailed look via the National Weather Service:
Today: Sunshine mid 80s at the coast and near 90 inland.
Friday: 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 9 a.m. and possibly some gusty winds and heavy rain. The sun may even appear in some areas during the day and at night there is a chance again for more showers and thunderstorms. The chance for some stormy weather at night is around 50 percent.
Saturday: Sunshine low 80s for all of Connecticut.
Saturday night: Clear and in the low 60s on the coast and upper 50s inland.
Sunday: Sunshine, low 80s at the coast and upper 80s inland.
Sunday night: Clear, mid 60s at the coast and near 60 inland.
Fourth of July: Sunshine low 80s at the coast and upper 80s inland.
Monday night: Temps in the mid 60s at the coast and near 60 inland.
