Ridgefield Voters Decide On Cemetery Ownership: Report
The owner of the Ridgebury Cemetery asked the town to take over control of the cemetery after he decided to step down.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — The Ridgebury Cemetery will soon be under control of the town after residents voted for the town to take control of the historic cemetery Wednesday. The News Times reports that 20 residents unanimously voted in a town meeting Wednesday.
The town takes control after Robert Keeler, the president of the association that owns the cemetery, asked the town to take over after he stepped down.
First Selectman Rudy Marconi said the transfer would not cost taxpayers. The town would also control the cemetery's $300,000 endowment.
