Ridgefielders Voice Concerns Over School Start Times: Report
Thousands of parents, staff and students responded to a survey on different school start time scenarios.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — A majority of those who filled out a survey regarding school start times in town stated they prefer keeping start times the same, reports the News Times. During a meeting at the East Ridge Middle School auditorium Monday night, school officials discussed a survey asking about different school start time scenarios.
Jonathan Costa, of consulting firm EdAdvance, said the only option in the survey which received statistically positive results was to keep the school schedule the way it is. Around 594 staff, over 1,500 students and over 5,800 parents answered the survey.
Respondents voiced a variety of concerns, including the affect on other grades from a change in the high school start time.
