Severe Thunderstorm Warning: Find Out When it Will Hit Your Town
The National Weather Service has issued a Special Weather Statement for the strong storms headed towards the area.

The National Weather Service in New York has issued a Special Weather Statement for our area:
"A line of strong thunderstorms will affect Fairfield and Westchester Counties— at 2:55 p.m.EST radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Yorktown Heights to near Mount Kisco to North Tarrytown. The movement was East at 25 m.p.h.
"Winds in excess of 40 m.p.h. are possible with these storms. The storms will be near Mount Kisco around 3:05 p.m. EST, Greenwich, Harrison and Bedford around 3:15 p.m. EST.

"[Storms will hit] Stamford around 3:25 p.m. EST, New Canaan and Ridgefield around 3:30 p.m. EST, Darien, Wilton and Georgetown around 3:35 p.m. EST, Norwalk and Weston around 3:40 p.m., Westport around 3:45, Fairfield around 3:55 p.m.
"Other locations impacted by these storms include Armonk, Pleasantville, Golden's Bridge, Easton, Jefferson Valley, Irvington, Rye Brook, Briarcliff Manor, Thornwood and Elmsford.

"A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 8:00 p.m. EST for Southern Connecticut and Southeastern New York."
