Books on the Common is sponsoring a "Find Waldo Local" game this July.
There are 25 local Ridgefield businesses participating in the game. Children, or anyone who wants to partake, can pick up a passport at those businesses, which include the Ridgefield Library, Tazza Cafe, Fifty Coins, Ross' Bread and Tiger Sports.
Children get a stamp at each participating business for that store. When they have collected at least 10 stamps, they get an "I Found Waldo" sticker from Books on the Common. The first 100 to collect 10 stamps also get a $1-off coupon.
Upon reaching 20 of the 25 participating stores, kids can get a sticker and coupon and be entered in a drawing for a set of 6 Waldo books, as well as other prizes.
The game began July 1 and will end with a celebration and prize drawing, which participants must attend to win, on July 31 at 4 p.m. at Books on the Common.
Danielle Perillat, a Books on the Common employee, said the program has been successful so far.
"The kids have been going crazy over it," Perillat said. "It's been hugely popular this year."
