The program, supported by the Friends of Weir Farm NHP and a grant from Connecticut-based travel company Tauck, received 74 applications this year. A panel of three jurors—Kimberly Henrikson, Cybele Maylone, and Stephen Henderson—selected the artists based on submissions in various visual art forms.

Weir Farm has hosted more than 250 artists since the residency began. The initiative seeks to preserve the creative legacy of Julian Alden Weir by supporting experimental and thought-provoking visual art on-site.
