The Rocky Hill-Glastonbury Ferry did not run for over a week as the water level was too high at landing spots on both sides of the river.
With the water receded and the weather nothing short of spectacular, there were lines of cars and vans waiting to take the quick four to five minute ride from Rocky Hill to the Glastonbury side.
If you've never been on the ferry, take advantage of the warm weather forecast and the fact that it is in your backyard and take a ride.
