Woman Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries In Blaze At Rocky Hill Home, Fire Officials Say

Crews arrived at the blaze to find "heavy fire and hoarding conditions that made fire attack difficult," according to fire officials.

ROCKY HILL, CT — A person suffered life-threatening injuries following a fire at a Rocky Hill home, according to fire officials.

Firefighters were called to a Main Street address on a report of a structure fire at 11:35 a.m. Saturday. They arrived to find a two-story home with heavy smoke coming out of the back of the house.

Crews searched the home and removed one person, who was taken by EMS to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, fire officials said.

After bringing in additional resources, the fire was extinguished.

Sections of Main Street and George Road were closed during the incident.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

There were no injuries to any first responders.
