Car Hits Condominium In Rocky Hill, Fire Officials Say
Later on, fire crews responded to a motor vehicle accident with vehicle fire on I-91 South.

ROCKY HILL, CT — The Rocky Hill Fire Department said in a social media post that a car ended up hitting a structure on Carillon Dr. around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.
On arrival, the fire department found that a passenger vehicle that had "impacted the exterior of a condominium," fire officials said. "The driver had self-extricated from the vehicle and was being evaluated by EMS. The driver was released without injuries. There were also no injuries to any residents in the condominiums. The scene was turned over to the Rocky Hill town building inspector for investigation and the fire department cleared the incident at 2:10 p.m. Thank you to the Rocky Hill Police Department CT and Rocky Hill EMS for their assistance."
On a second fire call at 3:50 p.m., fire crews responded to a motor vehicle accident with vehicle fire on I-91 South at the Exit 23 off-ramp, fire officials said.

Upon arrival, the fire department found a car with a reported mechanical issue that veered off the roadway and struck a light pole and caught on fire, officials said. All occupants had exited the vehicle and the fire department extinguished the fire, officials added. The off-ramp was closed down for a period of time until the vehicle was removed. There were no injuries to any vehicle occupants or firefighters.
