Hartford Man In Custody After Going 117 MPH In Rocky Hill: Police
The incident happened Saturday morning on Interstate 91 in Rocky Hill.
ROCKY HILL/HARTFORD, CT — A 31-year-old Hartford man was in police custody after he was clocked going 117 miles per hour on Interstate 91 in Rocky Hill Saturday.
According to Connecticut State Police, Rashad L. Miller, 31, of Standish Street, Hartford, was to be arraigned in New Britain Superior Court on Monday, Nov. 4.
Police said he was being held on the following charges: illegal operation of a motor vehicle under suspension; reckless driving; disobeying the signal of an officer; failure to comply with passing on the right rules; failure to drive in the proper lane; improper turn at a stop signal; violating traffic control signals; operating a motor vehicle without a license; interfering with a police officer/resisting arrest; and first-degree reckless endangerment.

Police said he was still being held on a $10,000 bond pending his arraignment.
According to state police, the incident happened at about 9:18 a.m. on Saturday near Exit 23 of I-91 South in Rocky Hill.

Police said a trooper was conducting a speed enforcement operation on I-91 in Rocky Hill when a Nissan Rogue was seen traveling at a high rate of speed.
According to the criminal information summary released Monday morning, the Nissan was traveling much faster than the flow of traffic and was estimated to be going more than 105 mph.
Later, police said, it was confirmed the Nissan was, actually, operating at speeds up to 117 miles per hour.
Police said the vehicle exited I-91 at Exit 23 onto West Street in Rocky Hill and failed to stop at a red light.
Later in the day Saturday, the Nissan was located and Miller was identified as the driver, with him being taken into custody by police.
