Helicopter To Survey Eversource Wires In Rocky Hill Next Week

ROCKY HILL, CT — Eversource next week will be conducting aerial inspections of vegetation growing near its high-voltage electrical equipment on rights of way across Connecticut, including Rocky Hill.

This inspection is part of the utility's "ongoing commitment to providing reliable electric service." The work involves the use of a helicopter flying low over Eversource's lines to check for any encroachments from trees or other emerging issues.

The work is slated for July 11 through July 15. Weather permitting, flights will take place between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m., Eversource officials said.
