Man Seriously Injured In Rocky Hill Crash: Fire Department

A man was seriously injured in a single-car accident Tuesday night.

ROCKY HILL, CT — A man was seriously injured in a car accident in Rocky Hill on Tuesday night, according to the Rocky Hill Fire Department. Emergency crews arrived at the intersection of Dividend Road and Forest Street on a report of a single-motor vehicle crash at 9:27 p.m. Tuesday.

First responders found the vehicle off the road, heavily entangled with a commercial vacuum truck at a local construction company that was parked off the road.

The victim was trapped in the vehicle. Firefighters stabilized the vehicle and began extraction. Rocky Hill police and EMS responded and assisted with the incident, according to a fire department Facebook post.

The victim was extracted from the vehicle about 35 minutes later and transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.

The fire department cleared the scene at 10:42 p.m. No first responders were injured. Rocky Hill Police remained on scene for an investigation.
