In Memoriam: Maryann (Malone) Laroche
The Rocky Hill resident passed away Feb. 14 at the age of 64.

Maryann (Malone) Laroche, 64, of Rocky Hill, passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2016.
Born in Hartford, the daughter of the late Edmund and Eleanor (Galvin) Malone.

Maryann was a Registered Nurse whose nursing career spanned over 30 years. During her career she worked at the Hospital of Special Care, the Hospital of Central Connecticut and Hartford Hospital. Maryann was a recipient of the Florence Nightingale Award for Excellence in nursing which is the highest international distinction a nurse can achieve. She was also a member of the MS Society.
Maryann is survived by four sons, Kevin Laroche of Cromwell, Michael Laroche of Wethersfield, Timothy Laroche of New Britain and Christopher Laroche of Plainville; three daughters and a son-in-law, Julie and Dan O’Brien of Seattle, WA, Angela Marcotte of Avon and Kathleen Laroche of Port St. Lucie, FL. And her four grandchildren Evan O’Brien, Nicholas and Abigail Marcotte and Joseph Veneziano, as well as her brother Michael Malone, his wife Lorraine and their two children, Laura and Daniel. Maryann also leaves behind the father of her children, Roger Laroche of New Britain and many devoted friends and colleagues.

Friends and family are invited to call at Berlin Memorial Funeral Home 96 Main St., Kensington on Wednesday, February 17, from 5 to 7 p.m.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, February 18, 9 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Church, 485 Alling St., Kensington. A private funeral for Maryann will be held at Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery in Bloomfield.
