Pedestrian Struck By Car In Rocky Hill Dies, ID Released: Police

The pedestrian suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital and later died, police said.

ROCKY HILL, CT — Police are investigating a serious accident involving a pedestrian and a vehicle Sunday evening.

The pedestrian was struck by a car in the area of 1864 Silas Deane Highway at 5:20 p.m. The pedestrian suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital, police said. The pedestrian later died as a result of the motor vehicle collision, police said.

The driver of the car remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation, police said.

The victim has been identified as Bisera Djurkovic, 59, of Rocky Hill, police said. Her next of kin has been notified.

The Mid-State Accident Reconstruction Team was activated and will assume the investigation, police said.
