Police Officer Responding To Emergency Call Involved In Crash, Rocky Hill Police Say

The officer and another motorist were both hospitalized after the crash, police said.

ROCKY HILL, CT — A Rocky Hill police officer was involved in a crash on Tuesday evening, police said.

At 5:47 p.m., police said an officer was involved in a motor vehicle crash with another vehicle in the area of 279 Elm Street while responding to an emergency call for service.

Both the officer and the operator of the second vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to an area hospital for further medical evaluation, police said.

The Midstate Accident Reconstruction Team has responded and is actively investigating the incident. At this time, the investigation is ongoing and no further details are immediately available, police said.
