"It is with the heaviest hearts we announce the closing of Bar Baja," wrote Bar Baja on Facebook.
"We have to take a moment to appreciate all the friends we’ve made, our incredible staff, and the support of our community and patrons.
"We had so much fun serving you, getting to be part of your celebrations, and sharing our craft with you all. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for sharing in this incredible experience. Cheers."
Comments seen following the announcement were positive, with customers saying it was their favorite Mexican restaurant and it featured tasty food and a nice staff.
While Bar Baja's situation is not known, the restaurant industry, in general, has been severely impacted since the COVID-19 pandemic.
In addition to supply chain issues and economic uncertainty driving up operations costs, and costs for diners at many eateries, staffing problems have been widespread in the industry, with owners having trouble finding a steady stream of workers.
Bar Baja's Oct. 12 post indicated it was looking for kitchen staff and a line cook.
