Person Hits It Big In 'Lucky For Life' At Rocky Hill Gas Station

A Hartford resident's recent trip to a Rocky Hill gas station has made this person a multi-millionaire.

HARTFORD/ROCKY HILL, CT — An anonymous Hartford resident's recent trip to a gas station in Rocky Hill has resulted in more than just a fill-up and refreshments.

It's resulted in a life-changing windfall of financial good fortune that will, likely, impact the winner (and his or her's family) for life.

According to the Connecticut Lottery Corp., the individual Dec. 9 hit it big — very big — in the multi-state "Lucky For Life" drawing, to the tune of $5.75 million.

State lottery officials didn't divulge the identity of the winner, but they said the winning ticket was purchased at the Road Runners gas station and convenience store in Rocky Hill, which is located on 2204 Silas Deane Highway.

The Connecticut Lottery Corp. website states the seller of a winning "Lucky For Life" ticket gets a maximum bonus of $20,000.

"Lucky For Life" is a drawing game where numbers are chosen, costing $2 to play.

With the jackpot spread out over 23 states, "Lucky For Life" can result in some big payouts amid some long odds of winning.
