Rocky Hill Reinstitutes Mask Mandate
The town announced that face masks or coverings will be required in all public indoor spaces.
ROCKY HILL, CT — Rocky Hill will now require people to wear face masks in all public indoor settings regardless of vaccination status, according to a statement from the town. Officials said the move comes as a response to the spread of the delta variant of COVID-19 and is line with recommendations from the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
The statement reads: "The Town of Rocky Hill has determined that to slow the spread of the Delta variant, protect its residents and protect those visiting and conducting business in Rocky Hill, it shall follow the preventive public health practices of the CDC, as well as the recommendations of the Central Health District by requiring the wearing of face masks or face coverings in all public, indoor settings regardless of vaccination status."
The move went into effect Friday and covers all public indoor spaces such as bars, restaurants, retails stores, offices, etc.

Gov. Ned Lamont has left the decision up to municipalities as to whether masks will be required in public spaces.
