2 Separate Crashes Reported On I-91 In Rocky Hill

ROCKY HILL, CT – There were two separate motor vehicle crashes within a half mile of each other on I-91 Wednesday morning, fire officials said.

The Rocky Hill Fire Department reported that it was dispatched at 7:32 a.m. on Wednesday to the southbound side of the highway near Exit 23 for a vehicle that had rolled over.

While enroute, emergency responders noticed a second accident in the left-hand lane about a half a mile ahead of the first accident. The incident commander decided to split the responding apparatus to handle both accidents, according to the department.

The occupants of the vehicles had minor injuries, and the calls were cleared within an hour, officials said.
