Wrong-Way Detection Installation To Close Lane On I-91 In Rocky Hill

ROCKY HILL, CT — Rocky Hill police are advising motorists of a lane closure and detour information due to a wrong-way detection installation that will take place on I-91 South in Rocky Hill on Wednesday, March 27.

Ramp closures are expected at Exit 24 on I-91 South in Rocky Hill, according to police. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists around the work zone.

Police said the regular work schedule for the project is from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday.

Traffic will be detoured at Exit 23 (West Street), turn left off-ramp onto West Street, turn right onto I-91 northbound on-ramp and proceed to Exit 24, according to police.

“Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions,” police wrote in a news release. “Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.”
