14-Year-Old Girl Killed In 3-Vehicle Crash: Police
Multiple drivers were injured in the Shelton crash, police said.
SHELTON, CT — A 14-year-old girl was killed and multiple drivers were injured in a three-vehicle crash overnight in Shelton, according to police.
Chloe Alyssa Ramsubhag of Waterbury was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision, which occurred around 12:30 a.m. Sunday near Exit 7 on Route 8 South, police said.
A 1994 Honda Civic and a 2013 Honda CR-V were traveling north when the CR-V collided with the Civic from behind, and the Civic crossed the median into the southbound lanes, where its passenger side was struck by a 2011 Honda Accord, according to police.

Ramsubhag was a passenger in the Civic, police said.
Interim Waterbury Superintendent Dr. Darren Schwartz told WFSB 3 TV that "It is with profound sadness that we inform you of the tragic passing of a Wilby student today. Our heartfelt condolences go out to the family and friends."

The driver of the CR-V, a 38-year-old man from Shelton, evaded the scene, but the CR-V was found shortly after the crash and the man called police to report an accident in the area and was eventually found at a hospital, according to authorities.
The driver of the Civic, a 37-year-old man from Waterbury, and the driver of the Accord, a 22-year-old man from Stamford, were both taken to hospitals for injuries, police said.
