Discount Store Five Below To Open New Shop In Shelton

SHELTON, CT — Discount retailer Five Below is scheduled to open a new store in Shelton on Friday, the company announced in a news release on Tuesday.

The new Shelton store is in the Shelton Square Shopping Center off Bridgeport Avenue, joining a Stop & Shop and other vendors in the complex, Hearst CT reported.

Five Below focuses on the youth market, specializing in items priced between $1 and $5, though it does carry some items that sell for more than $5.

When it opens on Friday, the Shelton store will be Five Below's 20th location in Connecticut. Other Five Below stores in the state include Stamford, Norwalk, Stratford, Danbury and Milford.

The new store in Shelton will be open 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Sunday.
