FitLinxx of Shelton Sponsors 5K Walk/Run

The Walk/Run "brings together individuals throughout Lower Naugatuck Valley and the surrounding communities to run or walk through Derby and Ansonia in honor, memory, or celebration of a loved one and their cancer journey."

The event has grown from approximately 250 participants in its inaugural year in 2009, to more than 550 participants last October.

This year’s Walk/Run is set for Saturday, Oct. 12 at the Center for Cancer Care, 350 Seymour Ave., in Derby.
