
- A flood warning for Shelton has been issued since yesterday. The National Weather Service predicts the following: Rain likely, mainly before 11 a.m. Cloudy, with a high near 53 degrees. South wind between 9 and 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New rainfall amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.
- Today is National Worship of Tools Day. Speaking of tools, Huntington Hardware is going out of business after more than 35 years of service. Tebben Lopez will have more details later next week. The rental store will still be in business, though!
- The Golf Center of Connecticut, part of the , has been selected as one of GOLF RANGEMagazine’s “Top 100 Golf Ranges in America” for the ninth straight year. - Charlotte Wittkofski, a senior at Gettysburg College, has been placed on the Deans' Honor List for outstanding academic achievement in the Fall 2010. Students with a quality point average of 3.60 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) for a semester's work are placed on the College's Deans' Honor List.
