SHELTON, CT — PBIRx, a Connecticut-based pharmacy benefit consultant and auditor, announced earlier this month the company has moved to a new 10,000-square-foot headquarters in Shelton.
According to a news release provided by PBIRx, an independent adviser that audits pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs), the company's new headquarters is located at 3 Corporate Drive, Suite 410, and will accommodate the firm's expanded team of pharmacy benefit specialists.
The move to Shelton triples PBIRx's office space as the company expands its staff by 50 percent to meet rising demand, the release notes.

The consulting firm has grown by 25 precent annually for three years "as more employers and unions seek greater transparency, accountability, and a clear long-term strategy for what is the most utilized benefit and the component of healthcare that is trending at the highest rate," the release reads.
"We're seeing increased demand from various employers, employee benefit brokers, and unions, who have experienced the value in partnering with PBIRx, as their independent pharmacy benefit consulting company to address the need for independent verification of their pharmacy spending," Patricia Sirowich, who founded PBIRx in 1993, said in a news release. "The complexity of PBM contracts and pricing structures has also made auditing a higher priority for benefits teams."
