Man Killed In Rollover Crash On Route 8 In Shelton: State Police
State police said the vehicle hit an overhead light pole and metal sign before rolling over.
SHELTON, CT — A Bridgeport man was killed in a rollover crash Monday on Route 8 in Shelton, Connecticut State Police announced Wednesday.
According to an accident information summary provided by state police, troopers from Troop I - Bethany were called to the area of Route 8 North near Exit 12A in Shelton around 9 a.m. after receiving a report of a single-vehicle crash.
Preliminary information revealed an Infiniti Q50 was traveling northbound in an unknown travel lane when the vehicle departed off the road, then hit an overhead light pole and a metal sign before rolling over, according to state police.

The driver, Oliver Armando Cruz-Ortiz, 20, of Bridgeport, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash by EMS personnel, according to state police.
State police also noted the vehicle was reported stolen to police in Newark, N.J., by its registered owner prior to the collision.
