Trash Collection, Transfer Station Information Announced For MLK Jr. Day 2026 In Shelton

SHELTON, CT — Shelton has announced trash and recycling collection, transfer station and city yard information for the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday, which falls on Jan. 19 this year.

According to the city's Facebook page, Shelton's Department of Public Works (city yard) and the Shelton Transfer Station will be closed Monday.

Both will reopen on Tuesday, Jan. 20, according to the city.

There will be no change to the city's trash and recycling collections.
