Man Stabbed In Neck After Argument At Shelton Bar: Cops

Police say the victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries at St. Vincent's Hospital.

SHELTON, CT — A Shelton man is facing charges after police say he pulled a knife on a man following an argument at a bar.

According to Shelton police, an officer working a private duty detail at Center St. Social at 127 Center Street apprehended the suspect at around 10:45 p.m. The man, Stephen F. Staffy, 60, of Shelton is charged with first-degree assault, carrying a dangerous weapon, first-degree reckless endangerment, second-degree threatening and second-degree breach of peace.

Police allege Staffy was involved in a verbal altercation with a 22-year-old man that escalated with Staffy allegedly pulling a knife. Police say Staffy put the knife up to the victim's neck and the victim was then stabbed in the neck.

Staffy was given a $250,000 bond.
