Monday, April 25: Wine Tasting, National Zucchini Bread Day
Hope everyone who celebrates Easter had a good holiday! Here's to a good start this week...

- More muggy, wet weather and maybe a storm! Anyone else love thunderstorms? The National Weather Service predicts the following for today: A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after noon. Cloudy, with a high near 64. Northeast wind five to eight mph becoming south. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent. At night, A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 53.
- Today is National Zucchini Bread Day! Head to in Huntington Center (one of my personal favorite places for baked treats!) or on Howe Avenue to see if they're serving zucchini bread.
- The Fairfield County Children's Choir is now from 3 - 5 p.m.Four choirs are open to children entering grades 4-12 with treble voices.Auditons held at Fairfield Woods Middle School in Fairfield by appointment only.For available dates and times, please call 203-414-4292 through June 10.
- Shelton’s Aimee Cayer of Over the Rainbow Confections will be participating in the Boys & Girls Village Annual Wine & Food Tasting event, Thursday, April 28, 5:30-8:30 p.m. at the Savin Rock Conference Center in West Haven. Aimee will be serving a sampling of her delicious cupcake shooters. Wines & More of Milford will donate 10 percent of all proceeds from sales that evening to benefit the children and families served at Boys & Girls Village. Tickets for the event are $45 and are available at the door or in advance at www.bgvillage.org. See flyer in the picture for more information!
- In case you missed it, check out Jean Sosnovich's on the Riverwalk extension project. Residents will have a chance next week to weigh in on the second phase of the Housatonic Riverwalk expansion project shaping up for downtown. An informational meeting has been scheduled for 7 p.m. April 28 in the auditorium at .
