Timothy Daniel Samoskevich, 29, of East Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, is charged with criminal impersonation and interfering with and officer.
Police said Samoskevich was a patron Danny O's on Howe Avenue as officers investigated the theft of a purse. When the purse was found, the owner declined to press charges, police said.
Samoskevich also allegedly gave police a false name, and was additionally charged with first- and second-degree failure to appear in court.
His bonds totalled $13,000 and he is scheduled to appear in Derby Superior Court.
