Remember Fallen Heroes Saturday

You can honor your military loved ones Saturday at Indian Ledge Park at the 10th annual Connecticut Fallen Heroes Memorial Tribute.

The Navy Band Northeast performs art 12:30 p.m. and the Gold Star ceremony is at 1 p.m. Food and drink are free, but you need to bring your own seating and umbrella as needed.

  • LTjg Michael J. DeBartolomeo, 25 (Stamford, CT), U.S. Navy-Operation Ocean Venture
  • Sgt. Robert J. Leska, 20 (Trumbull, CT), U.S. Army-South Vietnam
  • Sgt. Joseph M. Nolan, 27 (Waterbury, CT), U.S. Army-Operation Iraqi Freedom
  • SSG Edwin Rivera, 28 (Waterford, CT), U.S. Army-Operation Enduring Freedom 
  • PFC Eric D. Soufrine, 20 (Woodbridge, CT), U.S. Army-Operation Enduring Freedom.
The event was started by Trumbull resident Mike Mastroni. Its motto is, "Personally remembering our fallen since 2004."
