Carl Lynell Lawson, 33, of Hollister Ave., Bridgeport, is charged with violation of a protective order.
Police said after a judge had banned him from returning home, he returned home anyway to get clothing and was arrested again.
The initial charge was threatening that led to the ban, police said.
Lawson's bond was set at $10,000 for an appearance in Derby Superior Court.
