Shelton Walk-a-Thon to Benefit CT Children's Medical Center

The event is sponsored by the Third District of the American Legion Department of Connecticut.

American Legion Department of Connecticut’s Third District which includes all of the Legion Posts in Fairfield County invites the public to join in a Walk-a-thon to benefit the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.

American Legion Department of Connecticut’s Third District is sponsoring the Kids Walk to raise money for Connecticut Children's Medical Center. The walks will take place on Saturday morning, April 9, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. The walk will be at Veterans Memorial Park on the River Walk, 38 Canal St East in Shelton.

The day's event will include a 1 to 3 mile walk. Bottled water and snacks will be provided for participants in the walk. T shirts will be awarded to walkers with $25 or more in sponsor donations.

Along with the general public, alumni of American Legion programs are encouraged to join in the walk. Legion program alumni are men and women, who have benefited from programs such as Boys State, Girls State, Legion Baseball, and youth groups sponsored by the Legion. All pledges and donations to the Kids Walk will benefit the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. The walk will also be an opportunity for Legion Program Alumni to catch up with old friends. All are welcome to attend.
