Stratford Man Arrested in Citgo Robbery

Police have arrested 21-year-old Patrick Re, of 52 Raven Terrace in Stratford in connection with the knife point robbery that occurred yesterday at the Food Bag at the Citgo gas station on River Road. Re was developed as a suspect by Shelton Detectives and then located by members of the Stratford Police Department. Re was charged with first degree robbery and sixth degree larceny. Re is being held on a $250,000 bond and will be arraigned today at state superior court in Derby.

The incident occurred yesterday morning. At approximately 11 a.m., Shelton police responded to the Food Bag at the Citgo gas station, located at 442 River Rd., for a report of a knife point robbery. According to police, there were two employees working at the store when a male walked in and threatened the clerk with a knife. Neither employee was injured, but both were shaken up. There were no customers in the store during this incident. An undetermined amount of cash was taken.
