The Shelton Jaycees' Mother's Day Flower Sale Begins this Friday
The annual sale will run over two weekends and the proceeds benefit charitable causes.

The Shelton Jaycees' annual Mother's Day Flower Sale will provide an opportunity to buy floral arrangements for Mom on her big day. The sale at Pine Rock Park Volunteer Fire Co. No. 4, 722 Long Hill Avenue, starts this weekend.
According to the Shelton Jaycee's calendar listing, this year's sale will offer "over 200 beautiful hanging baskets to choose from along with dozens of annuals in assorted flats. There will be 4" potted Geraniums & New Guinea Impatiens plus 8" potted Geraniums in every color."
Flower sale dates and times are this Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Then again on Friday, May 10, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, May 11, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday (Mother's Day) from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

When buying Mother's Day flowers from the Shelton Jaycees, shoppers can feel good in knowing they are benefiting charitable causes. Every year, Jaycees' events support charities like the American Cancer Society and the Valley Food Bank.
The Shelton Jaycees, aka the Junior Chamber, are a group of volunteers between 21 and 40 years of age. It is a registered non-profit 501C-4, which runs dozens of community events each year.

According to the Jaycees, its members volunteer as much or as little as they like based on their interest in the event. The Jaycees' purpose is to provide hands on leadership experience and training, over and above what's available through employers and other organizations.
