Here's the Shelton buzz today...

  1. The National Weather Service reports the following predicted forecast for today: A chance of light rain, mainly after 3 p.m. Increasing clouds, with a high near 39 degrees. Calm wind becoming south between 6 and 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
  2. Today is National Tortilla Chip Day! As fate would have it, on Center St. offers a free salsa bar on Thurdays. Head over for some chips and dip as well as margarita and other meal deals.
  3. In case you missed it, Patch writer Cathryn J. Prince posted a strong Capitol DisPatch piece this week about debate concerning the death penalty. It is a strong, informative read and includes interviews with Fairfield County residents. Read the story

  5. The Board of Apportionment & Taxation is holding multiple sessions tonight in room 104. At 6:30, the Finance group will meet. At 7, the full Board will convene, and immediately after that there will be a budget workshop.
