Lauretti declares Tuesday, November 1, 2011 to be Paulla Ellis Day in Shelton

At this month's regular meeting, Mayor Mark A. Lauretti read a proclamation announcing that November 1, 2011 is Paula Ellis Day in Shelton, CT.
Ellis currently serves on the Athletics Committee for the Board, and has been a member for 26 years. She is not seeking re-election at this year's local polls.

Timothy Walsh III, chairman of the Board, thanked Ellis for her work with the students and faculty. "Paula has always been a lady, she has always been a contributor and she has always voiced her opinions and ideas even if they were against the grain."

"Whereas, Paula Ellis, a life-long resident and a 1971 graduate of served the and the Shelton public schools as a member of the Shelton Board of Education for more than 26 years, and that started with her election in November of 1979."
