Happy Hump Day!

  1. Rain, rain go away. The National Weather Service predicts some sprinkles later in the day, mainly after 3 p.m. The rest of the day will be mostly sunny, with a high near 42 degrees. At night, that temperature drops down to a low around 11.
  2. In with the old! (At least for today). It is National Old Stuff Day. Stop by Shelton Antiques at 549 Howe Ave. to browse around. Or, go to the Shop. Maybe you'll find a hidden treasure lost in time.
  3. is hosting the first of its "" classes tonight from 6:30 - 8 p.m. This class offers a chance for kids to learn about working in the kitchen. Offers some hands-on time, eating, and fun! Registration is both limited and required for this program for children ages 5+ and caregivers. Parents must remain in room with children, and may be requested to assist with some tasks. In addition, please provide the library with a list of any allergies your child(ren) have. Call 203-924-1580 for more information!
  4. Maryclare Taylor, a member of the class of 2014 from Shelton, has been named to the Fall 2010 Dean's List at Loyola University Maryland. In order to qualify for the Dean's List at Loyola, a student must have a GPA of at least 3.5 with a minimum of 15 credits. Congratulations on your academic dedication and success!
  5. Shelton Adult Softball Leagues has a limited number of openings in their Adult Softball Leagues for the 2011 season. Divisions of play include Men’s Open A and B, Over 35 wooden bat, Coed, and Women’s. The league entry fee is approximately $400.
