2 Smash-And-Grab Attacks On Simsbury Gas Stations Probed: Police
The incidents on Monday morning mirror similar ones in Farmington and South Windsor.

SIMSBURY, CT — Local police are investigating smash-and-grab attacks against two gas stations that mirror similar crimes in Farmington and South Windsor.
According to the Simsbury Police Department, the incident happened at about 1:17 a.m. Monday, Nov. 3, when officers were notified of an active alarm at the Pride gas station on 1340 Hopmeadow St.
When police arrived, they noticed the store was burglarized, the ATM was pried open, and an undetermined amount of cash was taken, police said.

Shortly thereafter, Simsbury police said another Pride gas station in town was burglarized, with the ATM left alone, but various tobacco products were stolen at 518 Hopmeadow St., according to the SPD.
According to the SPD, "preliminary investigation" links both Simsbury incidents with separate incidents in Farmington and South Windsor.

Simsbury police said they're working with other agencies as well.
