3 Simsbury Firefighters Get Promoted; Honored In Pinning Ceremony

Two Simsbury Volunteer Fire Company members have become lieutenants, and a third has completed the requirements for regular membership.

SIMSBURY, CT — Three members of the Simsbury Volunteer Fire Company have been promoted, and the department recently honored them with a pinning ceremony.

Two firefighters have been promoted to lieutenant, the company said on Facebook: Firefighter/engineer Brendan Letson, and firefighter/engineer Steve Petrella.

Lt. Letson has been assigned to the Bushy Hill Station (345 Bushy Hill Road), while Lt. Petrella has been assigned to the Main Station (871 Hopmeadow St.).

Firefighter Ryan Jacobs has been promoted too, as he successfully completed the requirements for "regular membership." Probationary members can become regular members after at least one year of service, according to the company.

Jacobs is assigned to the Firetown Station (located at the intersection of Firetown Road and Hoskins Road).

Letson, Petrella and Jacobs were recognized at a pinning ceremony, which was attended by Simsbury Volunteer Fire Company members, as well as family and friends.
