Bear Has Fun On Simsbury Playscape: Reports

SIMSBURY, CT — A video of a very fun-loving black bear, reported to be in Simsbury, is making the rounds in the viral world of social media.

Both WFSB Channel 3 and WVIT Channel 30 posted a viewer-submitted video of a bear climbing up a backyard playscape and sliding down the slide in Simsbury.

The humorous clip was attributed to an Easter weekend video submitted by Simsbury resident Sarah Loving, according to both WVIT and WFSB.

According tp the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, the black bears in Connecticut is increasing, as are bear encounters with the public.

Bears are nothing new in Simsbury or in surrounding towns, with bears in recent years showing up at town parades, visiting folks in their homes, and sneaking up behind children playing outside.
