Beat The Heat In Simsbury As Weekend Temps Rise Into 90s
Simsbury's library will be used as a cooling center, and the town's state parks have tree canopies that protect against sun exposure.

SIMSBURY, CT — To help residents beat the heat during this weekend's forecasted extreme temperatures, the town of Simsbury has designated a building as a cooling center and is reminding residents how to stay cool.
The public can cool off at the Simsbury Public Library, which will be open from 9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Saturday and from 1-5 p.m. Sunday.
Additionally, town officials said, the trails in Ethel Walker Woods and state parks in town have good tree canopies, which can help reduce direct sunlight exposure.
