SIMSBURY, CT — June is Dog Licensing Month, and Simsbury officials are reminding local dog owners to get their licenses renewed by month's end.

All dog licenses must be renewed each year during June.

Those who licensed their dogs last year should have already received a yellow postcard reminder by mail.

Licensing fees are $8 for a spayed or neutered dog and $19 for an unaltered dog.

A late fee of $1 per month (per dog) is added to the licensing fee for dogs licensed after June 30.

Proof of spay or neuter must be provided to qualify for the lower fee the first time a dog is licensed. (i.e., either an actual spay/neuter certificate that indicates spay or neuter)
