Family-Owned Simsbury Food Market To Be Sold: Reports
The family-owned operation dates back to the 1950s.
SIMSBURY, CT — The owners of a beloved, family-owned supermarket in Simsbury are selling to a regional chain, with the transaction reportedly being finalized next month.
According to CT Insider, the Geissler's Supermarket chain, which operates seven stores in Connecticut and Massachusetts, is taking over the Fitzgerald's Foods store in Simsbury.
CT Insider reports that the name of the store, located at 710 Hopmeadow St., will not change and all employees are expected to be retained.
