Free Fentanyl Tests Available At Simsbury PD

They can be picked up at the Simsbury PD headquarters, no questions asked.

SIMSBURY, CT — Local police this week said they have test kits available to the public to help prevent accidental fentanyl overdoses.

Citing a recent rise in drug overdoses in the state, the Simsbury Police Department said this week it has fentanyl test kits available for the public.

The Farmington Valley Health District has supplied these kits as a harm reduction tool, aimed at helping prevent accidental overdoses.

"If you or someone you know is at risk, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Your safety is our priority," wrote the SPD this week.

Those requesting a test kit are asked to stop by the police department and request a kit from the dispatcher, no questions asked.
