“Annie” is licensed by Music Theatre International.
In the classic play, little orphan Annie charms everyone's hearts despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City.
She is determined to find the parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City Orphanage that is run by the cruel, embittered Miss Hannigan (played by Ginny DeCerbo).
With the help of the other girls in the orphanage, Annie (played by Savannah Connors) escapes to the wondrous world of NYC.
Simsbury Summer Theatre for Youth is known for productions of full-scale Broadway musicals under the direction of theater professionals.
The creative team for Annie includes David Addis (director), Michael Yachanin (music director), and Rachel Armstrong (choreographer).
