Holiday Closures Announced For Simsbury Offices, Schools

SIMSBURY, CT — The upcoming holiday season has local towns and schools in holiday mode for the upcoming Christmas and New Year's holidays.

And with both New Year's Day and Christmas falling on a Wednesday this year, the following impacts should be noted in Simsbury.

Christmas

Simsbury Town Hall and town offices will be closed Wednesday, Dec. 25.

The Simsbury Public Library on Hopmeadow Street will be closed on Tuesday, Dec. 24, and Wednesday, Dec. 25.

The Bulky Waste and Recycling Facility on Wolcott Road will be closed on Wednesday, Dec. 25, in observance of the Christmas holiday.

It will reopen on Thursday, Dec. 26, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

New Year's Day

Simsbury Town Hall and town offices will be closed on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2025.

The Simsbury Bulky Waste and Recycling Facility on Wolcott Road will be closed on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2025, in observance of New Year's Day.

It will reopen on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Simsbury school system's winter break lasts from Dec. 23-Jan. 1, 2025. Classes resume as normal on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025.
