Large Regional Rabies Clinic Slated In Simsbury On Saturday, June 7
Farmington, Granby, Burlington, Canton, Newington, West Hartford, Windsor, Avon, and Bloomfield animal control units are assisting.
SIMSBURY, CT — The Town of Simsbury this Saturday is hosting a large, multi-town rabies vaccination clinic for people to get their dogs and cats protected from the disease.
It will take place at the Weatogue Fire Station, 251 Hopmeadow St., Simsbury, from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, June 7.
The cost per vaccination is $20 and payments must be in cash only.

It is being sponsored by the Simsbury Police Department and Town & Country Veterinary Associates of Vernon.
Dr. Gayle Block of Town & Country will be on hand to administer the vaccines, with the event's proceeds benefitting animals in need of healthcare.

While Simsbury is hosting the event, organizers emphasize the vaccination clinic is for folks in other towns as well.
Assisting are animal control agencies for Farmington, Granby, Burlington, Canton, Newington, West Hartford, Windsor, Avon, and Bloomfield.
In addition to rabies vaccines, dog licenses will be sold for residents of Simsbury and Farmington only at the event.
As for the rabies shots, guests must bring their pet's prior vaccine certificate if they're getting a three-year vaccine.
Those without those documents can get a one-year vaccine.
Cats slated for vaccination must be in a pet carrier.
